Why Volunteer?
Giving your time to your local community, a local organisation or a national body can have a positive impact on your life and the lives of others around you.

But volunteering is not just about giving, it’s about receiving too!

Volunteering can help you build confidence and self esteem and help you meet people, have new experiences and make new friends.

Volunteering can furnish you with the vital skills, experience and confidence to succeed in the career you have chosen to pursue. You can use volunteering to learn new skills and gain experience in a professional environment, or, just to refresh those skills you haven't used for a while.

If you’re considering a career change or just need to polish up your spoken and written English volunteering offers you the perfect chance to do all these things whilst supporting your local community.

22 million adults are involved in formal volunteering each year. Without their time and effort thousands of charitable and community organisations would grind to a halt.
