About LVAC


LVAC is an independent voluntary organisation which:
• Represents, supports and develops the London borough of Lambeth's voluntary and community sector.
• Develops new initiatives to meet community needs.
• Promotes cooperation between the voluntary and statutory sectors within Lambeth.

LVAC offers free advice and consultancy on issues such as:
• Charitable and company status
• Management and staffing
• Finance and fundraising, including access to our Funder Finder database
• Assistance in developing new projects
• Support for existing groups with management and other matters
• Special support for small groups (2 paid workers or less)
• Accountancy advice and training Information

LVAC has:
• Comprehensive database of voluntary and community groups in Lambeth
• Library of useful publications and videos
• Quarterly newsletter Lambeth Link, circulated free to LVAC members
• Access to policy information impacting on voluntary organisations

LVAC Provides:
• Subsidised training on key management issues.
• Assistance to groups in finding suitable trainers and courses

Membership benefits include:
• Reduced charges on services
• Use of LVAC's charity number (prior permission required)
• The opportunity to contribute to the development of LVAC policy
• The chance to elect and nominate candidates to LVAC's executive committee and vote at the AGM

LVAC is involved with and supports:
• Lambeth Community Empowerment Network
• Lambeth Health & Social Care Forum
• Lambeth Mental Health Forum
• Lambeth Black & Ethnic Minority Forum
• Lambeth Compact

A supportive and involved LVAC membership means a strong, unified voice for the voluntary sector in Lambeth. Membership is open, for a small fee, to any voluntary or community organisation working for the benefit of Lambeth residents.
